Small Group Counseling: Students may be invited to participate in small group counseling. This is a wonderful way for children to benefit from personal growth and gain support from peers with similar situations. Small groups contain about 8 to 10 students and will meet once a week for 6 weeks. Topics may include:
Friendships
Changing families/divorce
Social Skills
Self-Esteem
Grief
Stress Management/Study Skills
*Group members will be chosen from either volunteer, counselor or teacher recommendation and/or parent request. Parents will receive a permission slip home for students who would like to be included in Small Group sessions.
